These toys can interact with the movie running in the background by whispering additional texts, adding sound effects such as laughter or screaming, moving in synch with the movie or interacting with other toys in a special Karaoke like DVD mode that has the movie without the voices and it is generated by the available toys

This idea was shelved because I found a few related patents that made me realize that although creative it is not original…

You could play the piano or saxophone by humming softly into your iPhone and letting the app do the conversion work for you.

This will bring the playing ability to people that did not spend years practicing a specific instrument but have the capacity to sing or hum the right notes.

This is a creative idea but I found out that there are several patents that are very close to it so it is off the implementation list..

Imagine if we can convince athletes and sport players to wear a head band with two small cameras that records their moves and what they see in 3D and HD.

We could then watch a basketball game for example and choose a player angle for a replay and see the move as seen from the eyes of that basketball player. We could also choose to see the whole game from the point of view of a specific player, a referee, a coach or a guy sitting on the bench hearing the inside comments by the team mates waiting for their turn to play.

I think it would be amazing and I can’t wait until it is available. I think that people would pay a premium to have this available to them so there is no reason it will not be available.

I can see this as being great also for the Olympic games as well as other high profile championships.
Imagine a tennis game where you see the player POV in real-time.

Now let’s take it to the next step…

If you can see a player as he or she moves in real time and you get the images and sounds that he or she gets, you can use tiny electrodes or microphone to influence their choices.

A coach can indicate if to take the shot or not…

An experienced player can give feedback to a newbie…

Viewers can SMS and most votes can request the player to take their wants into account…

This can allow a level of interaction and intimacy not available currently.

If you or someone you know would like to join forces to create simulations and see if this makes sense I would love to cooperate.

I cannot currently put the needed time and resources to test this myself as I am involved with too many ventures as it is right now…

It might take a few meeting to review the concept and a few months to create the initial models for testing. It might take longer than that to have a working system that will trade using this algorithm unless it can plug-in to an existing system.

When fishing, after the fish is hooked, starts a process of pulling it back to shore or boat.

In this process sometimes the fish manages to break free by chewing on the fishing line or frees itself in some way from the hook.

Also it can take a long time to fight with the fish that resent the attempts to pull it out and does its best to stay far and away.

The idea is to create a fishing line that has an internal metallic wire inside the nylon wire. On the fishing pole there will be a capacitor that when activated would transfer an electric shock to the fish through the wire and metal hook and render it inactive for enough time to reel it in.

Just work that dial from “tingle” all the way to “cooked”…

*Disclaimer – This is just a stupid idea no one should attempt to do it or anything like it unless they know exactly what they are doing! In many cases ideas that combine water and electricity are very dangerous!

I sat with a friend in the car and we came up with some ideas for augmented reality as it can be implemented with camera equipped hand held devices. This is what we came up with in about 20 minutes…

Two of the ideas are not mentioned here as we are testing their patentability for possible implementation.

1) Point the camera to a person and the device will measure/asses its clothes size. Pointing to a rack of clothes will mark with color the ones that are likely to be in a good size.

2) Point the camera to a person and the device will indicate if the clothes match and give a mark. The analysis can include colors, patterns, size etc. You can point to your own reflection in the mirror or to people you know.

3) Plant identification. Point to a plant and the device will identify the plant and give specific details such as nutritional / medicinal value, toxicity and care instructions.

4) Point to a flooded road and the device will help calculate the depth of the water at the lowest point according to the predicted convergence of the road lines (might need some assisting). If you choose your car type it can tell you if you should attempt to cross or not.

5) If you stand in line or drive in a lane, the application can analyze which lane is moving faster and suggest you move to that lane or queue.

6) Hold the device above your head and turn it slowly to scan the surrounding crowd and identifying people you know based on your contact images or searching for a specific person. The device can beep when it found a face that is close enough to a face you are looking for or a face you might know.

7) Point the device to people talking far away and the device will zoom the image and attempt to read the lips of the people and read out the identified text or save it to a file.

8) For the hearing impaired a device will show on a room picture the areas that noise is coming from. The device will track sounds as you move in the room and calculate their estimated location and plot this along with a sound type representation such as loudness (hiss or scream), rhythm (phone ring or something fell down) etc.

9) Use product catalogs to choose and place 3D furniture objects inside your room and walk around them to see exactly how they would look like from each angle and how much space it would take.

10) Look at a supermarket isle through the device to get visual arrows to locations of items you bought in the past.

11) Capture an item in 3D in a shop and see how it would look like with your home as background instead of its current background.

12) Point at a plate with food to automatically attempt to identify the main food components and asses nutritional values and calories. Might use a recipe database to get more info about preparation and other ingredients not seen.

13) Point at someone and choose a haircut to get step by step instruction on how and where to cut with constant feedback.

14) Show visually on room image the hotspot strength according to location as you walk through the room. Will eliminate the wandering around and random pointing to get better signal.

15) Automatically locate an object in view in online product catalogs (furniture, clothes etc..).

16) Take a picture when you leave your room or desk and point to it when you are back to see if anything was moved, taken or added.

There are theories that people think about things that they can represent with their vocabulary. The hypothesis is that we do not think about things we have no words for.

My idea is to influence behavior by introducing many more positive words than usually adopted by children in a regular family and school environment.

I hope that less words for violence and criminal acts and more for kindness and positive outlook on life will result in more positive thoughts more often and ultimately less violence and more benevolence.

Companies pay thousands of dollars per month to engage in Web 2.0 marketing to identify discussions and places where their brand comes into contact with their potential customers and other interesting parties. They can choose if to promote a certain discussion, to interfere or to ignore. They also do this with competitive brands.

There are companies that deal with constant searching of textual information according to various filters and notifying interested parties.

I propose to do the same with rich multimedia content – Images and sounds. Images can be logos, landmarks, pictures of people, product images etc.

Sounds can be language identification, sound signature of product (like windows login sound or Intel sound etc.) specific ring tones, specific words spoken etc.

The software and service proposed would have a special algorithm for identifying if a graphic or sound element is used in user generated multimedia content such as web images on sites and in on-line albums, YouTube or in news broadcasts, TV shows, movies etc.

The notifications will include an automated list of recent multimedia references to your brand or any other brand you specified…

Possibly this can also be used for other uses…
